Shipping is not included in price"Join, or Die" is a well-known political cartoon, created by Benjamin Franklin and first published in his Pennsylvania Gazette on May 9, 1754.
This piece has a deep engraving. The pictures are of solid 1" sapele (a part of the mahogany family). We think you will agree, Sapele is some amazing wood. We mill the image into the wood and then meticulously chisel the piece until we reach the desired look.
We offer a wide variety of finishing options. The burnt edging is a metaphor for the forging process and adversity endured by our nations finest. Without them, we would be in harms way.
1/8" thick, 2" wide steel banding is fastened with copper nails. The banding is hand hammered and provides a look you will not find anywhere else.
It measures roughly 16" x 24".
